EMERGENCY gas works are causing traffic problems for motorists in Bournemouth.
SGN started work in Wimborne Road at its junction with St Valerie Road on Tuesday morning.
Temporary traffic lights are in use while the engineers carry out the repairs.
Spokesperson Waseem Hanif: "From Tuesday, January 15 our engineers will be working to urgently fix our gas network in Wimborne Road at its junction with St Valerie Road.
"To ensure everyone’s safety, we’ll need to install temporary three-way traffic lights around our work area at this junction.
"We’ll be working as quickly and safely as possible to complete our repair."
On Tuesday evening, traffic backed up along Wimborne Road in both directions, on Richmond Hill roundabout and down Richmond Hill.
