EIGHT vehicles were damaged by thieves and vandals in the Poole area last week.

On Friday morning, a vehicle's window was smashed in the Bournemouth Road area of Penn Hill.

In Durrell Way, a tool bag containing several tools was stolen from a vehicle on Thursday morning.

The offender smashed a side window.

Also on Thursday morning, a would-be thief smashed a rear window of a vehicle parked near the Premier Inn in the Holes Bay area.

In the afternoon, a vandal smashed the quarterlight window of a vehicle in Avenal Way.

Between 8pm on Wednesday and 6am on Thursday, an offender smashed the quarterlight window of a vehicle in Taverner Close, although nothing was stolen.

And the bodywork of another vehicle was damaged by vandals in Lagland Street on Wednesday morning.

Overnight on Wednesday, an offender tried to break into three vehicles near the Travelodge in Holes Bay Road.

And another vehicle's window was smashed and the door lock damaged by a would-be thief in the Whitchurch Avenue area of Broadstone.

The incident happened between 4pm on Wednesday and 7am the following day.
