A BURGLAR stole a large quantity of alcohol from a café in Sherborne.
The offender broke into The Pear Tree Deli & Café in Half Moon Street overnight.
He forced open the front doors before stealing rum, brandy and vodka.
It is believed he was carrying a large 'bag for life' with black side panels and red end panels with a white emblem on it.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after the incident, which happened sometime between 2.30am and 3am on Sunday.
Police Constable Shane Hewitt, of Sherborne police, said officers were making local enquiries to see if anyone saw or heard anything suspicious.
Anyone who might have relevant CCTV of the burglary is also urged to contact police.
