THE Wessex Way was closed this morning while emergency services dealt with a concern for welfare.
Police were called at 3.06am on Friday by the ambulance service to reports of a man on the Ophir Road footbridge above the A338 Wessex Way in Bournemouth.
The dual carriageway was closed between St Pauls and Springbourne roundabout.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said the man was brought to safety and the road was reopened at 4.50am.
