A BUTCHERS in Highcliffe was a cut above the rest after a record number of entries for Christchurch Chamber of Commerce's Christmas window competition.
The overall winner, with 178 votes, was Chris Watson Family Butcher.
He secured the prize of dinner for two at the Chewton Glenn.
Adam Pyke, Chewton Glen's operations director, presented the butcher with his prize at his Lymington Road business.
Mr Watson said: "I'm delighted to have won and thank everyone who took the time to vote, both online and by filling out slips in the shop.
"This year, I've seen positive changes taking place on Highcliffe's high street, where residents and traders are working together as a close knit community."
Mr Pyke added: "This year's participants for the Christchurch and Highcliffe Christmas window competition were of such a high standard and Chewton Glen were delighted to offer dinner for two as the winner prize.
"I look forward to continuing to work with Highcliffe and Highcliffe Action Team in 2019."
