PASSENGERS are set to face more disruption on the railways this weekend – but not due to strike action.
Planned maintenance work will take place on the line today and tomorrow. The railway will be closed all weekend between Brockenhurst and Poole while track repairs take place in the Bournemouth station area. Bus replacements will be in operation on both days. A revised train service will run between Poole and Weymouth.
On Saturday, normal services will run between Southampton Central and London Waterloo, with a revised timetable between Southampton Central and Brockenhurst and on the Lymington services.
On Sunday, trains will run between Brockenhurst and London Waterloo.
Faster buses will run between Southampton Central, Bournemouth and Poole, while buses will carry out local journeys between Brockenhurst and Poole on both days.
