THE next meeting of Highcliffe WI takes place at 7pm on Thursday, January 17 at the Community Centre in Lymington Road, Highcliffe when Paul Sandy will talk about ‘Jewellery Hallmarking and Unusual Items’, followed by refreshments and a quiz. Visitors welcome.

Games and crafts

A NEW Monday Market will take place in Druitt Hall, Christchurch, from January 22, open from 9.45am to 12.45pm. The event will be open to the community with free games, papers and a market featuring local and seasonal produce, artisan crafts and refreshments. Entry is free.

Flower power

THE next meeting of the Highcliffe Horticultural Society takes place at St Marks Hall in Hinton Wood Avenue at 7.30pm on Monday, January 7, when Lyn Miles will give a talk entitled ‘For The Love of Snowdrops’. Visitors and new members welcome.

Landscape love

ANGELA Corben visits Christchurch Arts Guild from 7pm to 9pm on January 9 to show her emotional response to plein air landscape painting. The meeting takes place at All Saints Church Hall in Mudeford.

Theatre trips

Woodland walk

JOIN a New Forest walk and pub meet at 11am on Saturday January 20. The walk starts and finishes at the Red Shoot Inn at Linwood in Ringwood.

Nordic walk

A FREE Nordic walking taster session takes place at King George V Recreation Ground in Ferndown on January 17 at 9.30am. The session will last 45 minutes.

Learn flamenco

A BEGINNERS’ flamenco dance class is being held at the Dance For All Studios in Haviland Road, Bournemouth, every Wednesday from January 9 between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.

Social meeting
