THE Christmas lights in Bournemouth this year are great and clearly very popular with the public.
On Saturday evening the bandstand was as usual closed, and this is a missed opportunity for local musicians and entertainers to perform.
We have many local musicians who would no doubt be pleased to perform for a wider audience, and this is the perfect venue for it to happen.
Poole Quay events always feature bands and these events are well supported, surely Bournemouth could offer something similar in the Lower Gardens?
Bournemouth council must have people who could organise this at modest cost. It would enhance the visitor experience.
