RESIDENTS across Dorset and the New Forest will see changes to their rubbish and recycling collections over Christmas.

In Bournemouth, bin collections will take place one day later than usual from Boxing Day until January 5. Bins will need to be taken out by 5am on the day of the collection.

Poole residents can check their collection dates over the festive period by visiting the Borough of Poole website and using their personalised Bin Collection Day Finder.

In Dorset, bin collections that would usually take place between December 25 and January 4 will take place two days later instead, while collections that would usually take place on a Friday will take place on the following Monday. From January 7, collections will take place one day later until January 14.

New Forest residents who would normally have their black and clear sacks collected on December 25 and 26 will instead see their collections take place on January 2 and 3 respectively. From January 1, collections will take place one day later. Household recycling collections that would take place on December 26 will instead take place on December 29 and collections on January 1 will be moved to on January 5.
