GENEROUS students from Poole Grammar School donated hundreds of items to the Poole Foodbank after a non-uniform day at their school.
They took food items, toiletries and money to school in what has become an annual tradition.
This year saw an increase in donations.
Head teacher Andy Baker said: "This represents how strongly our students feel about their community. Whatever their circumstances, they want to help others less fortunate and privileged than themselves, and help others have an enjoyable Christmas.
"I feel really proud of how our whole school community works together to contribute as much as they are able."
Gill Payne, manager of Poole Foodbank, added: "The support given by Poole Grammar School is incredible. The food and large financial donation will be used to support those in Poole who would otherwise be struggling at this time of year. Thank you so much."
The items were handed over by Head Prefect Matt Cuff and Mr Baker.
