ARMED police were called after reports of a man with a gun at a Bournemouth pub.
Officers attended the Richmond Arms Pub in Charminster Road on Sunday after they were called at just after 3.30pm.
South Western Ambulance Service also attended the scene with a 4X4 ambulance, two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle along with their Hazardous Area Response Team and an operations officer.
Dorset Police said a 41-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested at the scene.
The man was later released without charge following a “thorough investigation”.
No one was injured, and no weapon was found.
A police spokesperson said it is believed the report was made in good faith.
