POLICE have launched an investigation after a woman was punched in the face by a jogger at the weekend.
The assault happened at Kings Park in Boscombe at around 11am on Sunday. The victim was walking her dog when she became involved in a row with a man and a woman who were jogging around the park.
It is believed that the victim's dog may have run out in front of the runners.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: "A verbal altercation took place between a dogwalker and two joggers, a man and a woman.
"The female jogger then reportedly assaulted the woman who was walking her dog.
"An investigation is ongoing."
