THE man killed in an industrial accident at FDS Waste Services on Thursday was an employee of the Poole company.
Yesterday, the firm released a statement about the incident.
It simply read: "We had a tragic accident at FDS Waste Services Ltd
"One of our valued employees sadly lost his life.
"Our sympathies are with the family and we are offering them our full
support. We are also providing support to our employees.
"The incident is currently being investigated by the HSE and the police.
"The circumstances are such that the site was able to open today."
Investigations continue into the accident, which claimed the life of the male worker, aged in his 30s.
Messages of sympathy and support had been paid following news of the accident.
Borough of Poole (BOP) Newtown ward councillor Malcolm Farrell, said: "It is a terribly sad accident, it couldn't have happened at a worst time.
"Everyone's thought are with the man's family and friends, particularly at this time of year."
Meanwhile, BOP confirmed they are not involved in the investigation.
