MORE of the motorists who risk lives on Dorset's roads have been disqualified.

Seven people appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court to face drink- and drug-driving charges last Friday.

All have now been banned.

Richard Tubbs, 34 and of Talbot Avenue, Bournemouth, admitted driving in West Way on September 5 with 2.9 micrograms of THC, 32µg of cocaine and more than 200µg of cocaine derivative benzoylecgonine per litre of blood. The limits are, respectively, two, ten and 50.

He was disqualified for 14 months and fined £300.

Sarah Floyd, of Southbourne Road, pleaded guilty to driving her Mini on the A338 in Christchurch on August 27 with 332µg of cocaine derivative benzoylecgonine per litre of blood.

The 29-year-old was fined £460 and disqualified for 12 months.

Natalie Stride, 35 and of Fernside Road, Poole, drove an Audi A3 on September 4 with more than 32µg of cocaine per litre of blood. She also admitted driving without appropriate insurance and driving a vehicle when a tyre was not of a depth of at least 1.6mm. In total, Stride was banned from driving for three years and fined £50.

Deborah Ambrose, of Ringwood Road in Poole, drove her Mercedes B190 in Richmond Road on October 25 with 119 micrograms of alcohol in her breath. The limit is 35, making the 59-year-old almost three-and-a-half times the limit.

She was disqualified for 42 months and ordered to have treatment for her alcohol dependency for six months.

Jennifer Unwin, 68, admitted driving her Toyota RAV4 in Highcliffe Road on September 8 with 148 milligrams of alcohol in her blood. The limit is 80.

The defendant, of Rose Gardens, Highcliffe, was banned from the roads for 17 months and fined £200.

David Weeks, 60 and of Draper Road, Christchurch, drove a Nissan 100 in Christchurch Road, Bournemouth on July 12 with 57µg cocaine, more than 800µg benzoylecgonine and 5.1µg THC per litre of hid blood. He was fined and banned for 12 months.

Paul Walton, of Medway Road in Ferndown, pleaded guilty to driving his Renault Clio in Woolsbridge Road, St Ives on September 3 with 2.1µg THC per litre of blood. The 37-year-old was disqualified for 12 months and ordered to pay a fine.
