TWO children’s play areas in Broadstone have been improved following a funding boost.
Broadstone Recreation Ground and Springdale Park, off Lewesdon Drive, have both got new equipment through a project funded by local planning contributions.
The final piece of work at Springdale Park has involved the installation of interpretive panels and wobbly mirrors chosen by the staff at children’s hospice Julia’s House, which is located in nearby Corfe Mullen.
The park was rebuilt in 2009 with input from Julia’s House.
A Borough of Poole spokesperson said: “The panels, designed for younger children, bring an extra level of play and experience to a much loved space.
“The park is situated near the hospice and will be a great addition for the children to enjoy in the summer months.”
At the Recreation Ground play area, a new helter-skelter slide has been installed and the play space redesigned.
