A DISQUALIFIED driver caught behind the wheel of a Ford Focus in Wallisdown Road this year has been spared a prison sentence.

Leila Green, of Valerie Road in Bournemouth, was spotted driving on September 23.

She also had cocaine, heroin and cannabis with her after her arrest.

On Monday, Green, 35, appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court to admit driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, two charges of failing to surrender, two of possessing a class A drug, possessing a class B drug and one of the commission of a further offence while the subject of a conditional discharge for fraud.

She was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months due to her 'poor record' and ordered to pay a surcharge and costs.

Magistrates also disqualified the defendant from driving for a further 12 months and the drugs seized during her arrest will be destroyed.
