More than 5,000 people were left without power in parts of Bournemouth this morning.
A power cut occurred at 7.25am this morning, a spokesperson for SSE said.
It initially affected 5,254 people.
Most were put back on by 8.30am, but around 240 customers are still without power.
A spokesperson for SSE said generators were being brought in to ensure power was restored as quickly as possible.
It is hoped this will be by 2.30pm.
"We are still investigating the fault and engineers are looking into it. We are very sorry for any inconvenience."
