THE death of a man struck by a train at Brockenhurst Station is not being treated suspiciously, police confirm.
The incident, which happened at 5.34am on November 23, involved a 29-year-old.
The man, from Bournemouth, was pronounced dead at the scene.
All lines between Southampton and Bournemouth were blocked, and were reopened just after 10am, causing delays until the mid-afternoon.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Brockenhurst station at 5.34am on 23 November following a report a person had been struck by a train.
“Paramedics and colleagues from Hampshire Police also attended, but sadly a 29-year-old man, from Bournemouth, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”
