BOURNEMOUTH Air Festival has picked up two prestigious awards.
The popular event, which attracts hundreds of thousands of people each year, has been named best Local Fair, Show or Festival for 2018 as well as favourite Free Local Family Event in the Primary Times Reader Star Awards.
Families across the area were invited to vote for their favourite family friendly places in an online survey.
Other categories included best attraction for a full day and half-day out, indoor play centre, party venue/entertainer and the attraction that offered best value for money.
Jon Weaver, Air Festival Director, said: “It’s fantastic to be recognised again as a major local event – especially as it is voted for by local readers and ultimately visitors. We pride ourselves on being a free to attend festival and this summer was incredible. Thanks to everyone at Primary Times for our latest accolade.”
Linda Edwards, publishing editor at Primary Times, said: “ The results are incredibly insightful which allows us to take a glimpse into the minds of local people, discovering what the children enjoy most. We would like to applaud all the individual winners of each category and congratulate them on their success”.
