Years behind the lens: Four years.

Current Camera: 5D Mark IV.

Dream camera: I love my 5D and am very happy with that for now but who knows what the next model might bring.

Piece of equipment you couldn’t be without: I never leave home without my tripod, I’d be lost without it.

Favourite Dorset location: Durdle Door.

Dream location: Iceland.

Worst photographic mishap: Heading out to a shoot, fully prepared for every eventuality and excited to see the results of my efforts. Only to arrive at my location and realise I’d forgot my memory cards and then having to trudge home again to pick them up.

Best photographic success: I was so proud to have my first book, Dorset in Photographs, published and now seeing my second book, based in Hampshire this time, on the shelves has felt like a dream. I’ve worked so hard to get to this stage but I still feel lucky to be published.

Top tip: You miss every photograph you don’t take so don’t hesitate. If you see a shot try to take it, even if you make a mistake on your camera settings. It’s better to have tried and failed than not try at all.

What you’ve gained/learnt from or liked about Echo Camera Club Dorset: I like that the club gives everyone open opportunities to show their work.
