A PEDESTRIAN has been left with a serious head injury following a crash in Poole on Tuesday.
The crash happened at the junction of Lake Road and Upwey Avenue in Hamworthy at around 4.30pm. It involved a grey Toyota Yaris and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a Poole woman aged in her 70s, was taken to hospital for treatment. Her family has been informed.
Road closures were put in place to allow the emergency services to deal with the incident.
Police Constable Jay Griffin, of the traffic unit, said: “We are carrying out a full investigation to establish the circumstances of this collision and I am appealing for any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to contact us.
“I would also urge anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the collision who has dashcam fitted to their vehicle to check their footage.
He added: “Finally, I would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.”
