POLICE are investigating a "series" of break ins to properties in Highcliffe.

The latest took place some time between 3pm on November 10 and 3.30pm the following day, November 11 at a home in Woodland Drive.

Burglars smashed the patio doors of the property and stole cash and jewellery from inside.

PCSO Karl Stark of the area's neighbourhood policing team said: "This follows a series of breaks in the Highcliffe area in October.

"Entry was gained via a similar method in these cases.

"We urge residents to review your security arrangements, including locking of gates, checking or installing lighting or cameras and ensuring doors and windows are locked."
