THE big red Coca-Cola truck will be making its annual visit to Bournemouth this weekend in the build-up to Christmas.

It will visit Pier Approach on Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2 as part of its eighth annual tour of the UK.

Visitors will be able to have their picture taken alongside the truck, which is decorated with more than 8,772 twinkling fairy lights, and listen to the well-known ‘holidays are coming’ jingle featured in the popular Coca-Cola TV advert.

They will also receive a free 150ml can of the soft drink.

Each truck tour stop will encourage consumers to recycle their bottles and cans, in line with Coca-Cola’s World Without Waste initiative - a global pledge to collect and recycle a bottle or can for each one sold by the year 2030.

The 2018 tour starts in Glasgow on Friday and ends in London on December 16.

The truck will call at 24 locations across the UK.

Over the last seven years, the truck has travelled over 737,000 miles – the equivalent of 29 times around the world.
