THE Met Office has issued a warning for heavy rain for parts of Dorset tomorrow.
The yellow warning – meaning be aware – is valid from just after midnight until 12noon today.
Between 15 and 25mm of rain is widely expected but as much as 40 to 60mm could fall over some hills exposed to the strong southerly winds.
The Met Office has also issued a second weather warning for more heavy rain and strong winds of up to 60mph on Friday.
The warning covers Bournemouth, Poole and the rest of the county.
A Met Office spokesperson said: “Rain will be accompanied by strong winds with gusts of 50 mph possible inland and perhaps 60 mph around some coasts.”
Conditions could cause some delays to roads users and public transport.
