A THIEF who stole a brand new phone worth £700 before burgling a Bournemouth restaurant has been jailed.
Charles Tawiah, who is of no fixed abode, first raided O2 in Wimborne Road on October 23, stealing a Sony Xperia XZ3 phone.
On October 29, he burgled TGI Fridays in the BH2 complex. During the incident, he stole who bottles of Southern Comfort.
The following day, October 30, Tawiah stole an iPad worth £619 from Solutions Inc in Old Christchurch Road.
Tawiah, 45, admitted two counts of theft and one of burglary at Poole Magistrates' Court on Thursday, November 1.
He also pleaded guilty to the commission of a further offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence order made on August 2 for theft and failing bail.
Magistrates sentenced the defendant to a total of 11 weeks in prison for the offences.
