POLICE are hunting for burglars who rammed a moped into the front door of a Poole business before stealing cash from inside.
A CCTV image of two people wearing bike helmets has been released after the burglary, which took place at Central Fast Food Supplies on the Technology Road Industrial Estate on Monday, October 29.
The raiders, both of whom were riding one moped, rammed the vehicle into the doors of the unit at around 8.15pm. When the door buckled, the two went inside and stole cash.
A wing mirror was recovered from the scene. Police believe the vehicle involved is a black Matador moped.
PC Adam Carr, of Poole police, said officers have been attempting to trace the moped involved and identify the men responsible.
“I appreciate their faces cannot be seen in the CCTV image, but I am hoping that someone might recognise their distinctive helmets and the description of the vehicle used," he said.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may be aware of a moped that was damaged in unexplained circumstances around the time of the incident."
Anyone with information should contact police via dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting 55180175196.
