A NEW restaurant specialising in good food and good music is set to open its doors in Bournemouth town centre next week.

Roots & Co is described as “a new blend of British blues, brews, beats and bites”.

Mocktails and craft beers at the bar and a music policy that puts a Brit-twist on classic blues, jazz, soul, R&B and retro DJs.

“Roots & Co will fit the bill no matter how you’re feeling – we’ve got the best wines, beers and spirits if you’re good to go, or marvellous mocktails and sensational smoothies if you’d rather take it easy,” says Marianne Brown of M2 Events.

“And on Roots & Co eats menu is a selection of British tapas, where possible prepared with organic, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.

“As well as taking a creative approach to bar classics with our signature meat skewer and Yorkshire pud dip pots, our cooks are doing amazing things with super foods and healthy options that mean nobody has to compromise on taste.”

Roots & Co which opens in Post Office Road on Friday, November 9, will feature a vertical wall garden, copper bar and bird cage lights.

“We’re bringing the outside ‘inn’, creating a place where busy people can sit back, relax and soak up the atmosphere,” says Marianne.

The drinks list features an eclectic selection of local craft beers, artisan wines and spirits as well as some original twists such as Beetroot Bellini, Rhubarb and Ginger Sour and Coconut Water & Lemongrass Mojito”.

“Bournemouth is in for a real treat,” adds Marianne. “Roots & Co is a wake up call to the senses, a chance to come out and make the most of the forthcoming party season whether you’re feeling naughty or nice.”
