A WOMAN has appeared in court after an alleged incident at a Bournemouth bar.

As reported in the Daily Echo, a warrant was issued for the arrest of 22-year-old Megan Convery on October 26 after she failed to appear at Poole Magistrates' Court.

Convery, of Elwyn Road in Bournemouth, has been charged with criminal damage, assaulting a PC, possession of a class B drug and affray following a reported row at Felson's Bar in Old Christchurch Road at 11.40pm on March 26.

Prosecutors allege a man in his 20s was struck with a glass bottle and a woman in her 20s was punched in the face during an incident. The male complainant suffered a bleed to the brain, it is claimed.

Convery appeared before magistrates on Wednesday. She did not enter pleas to the charges and was given unconditional bail to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on November 29.

Michael Saxon, 30 and of Medlock Street, Droylsden, Manchester, and Abby Whitehead, 22 and of Hayfield, High Peak, Derbyshire, were charged with affray in connection with the same incident.

Both appeared before magistrates last week and were bailed to appear at the crown court on the same day.
