1. A host of firework displays will take place over the next few days. St Katharine's C.E. Primary School will be holding its 'Fabulous Family Fireworks' tonight. Tomorrow will see displays at Swanage and Wareham RFC, The Three Tuns in Bransgore and Haymoor Junior School in Poole. On Saturday evening, there will be events at the Littledown Centre, Butchers Coppice, East Dorset Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Stanpit Recreation Ground, Ringwood Raceway Matchams, Stourfield Junior School and Sherborne Castle. On Sunday, Ringwood will host its bonfire and firework spectacular at Carvers Recreation Ground. Then on Monday – Bonfire Night itself - there’s a free display from Poole Quay.

2. A Christmas Arts and Craft Fair comes to Bournemouth’s Pavilion Theatre on Sunday. There will be more than 70 local artists and crafters showcasing their wares. Items on sale include pottery, jewellery, bath bombs, soaps, perfume, cards and more. Entry is free for under 16s and between £3.50 and £5 for adults. Starts at 10am.

3. The Shelley Frankenstein Festival takes place at various locations across Bournemouth. The Shelley Trust is holding a pop-up shop in Boscombe’s Royal Arcade between 10am and 5pm until Saturday and from 11am until 4pm on Sunday. There will be readings from Mary Shelley’s diary, a Frankenstein photo booth and “live art”. Then on Saturday, the Coda Fiddle Orchestra will present 'Spooky Music' in St Peter's Church while Sunday will see renowned violinist, Jack Maguire, play Paganini by Mary Shelley's tomb.

4. American ska punk outfits Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake bring their co-headline tour to Boscombe’s 02 Academy tomorrow night.

5. The Dorset Bump to Baby Show Seasonal Showcase is being held at the Pavilion Theatre on Saturday between 11am and 3pm. The pregnancy, birth and baby event, will feature more than 70 exhibitors. Entry is free.

6. Joanna Lumley brings her It's All About Me! tour to the BIC on Saturday night. The actress and human rights activist will be sharing stories from her career which spans more than four decades.

7. A Big Birthday Bash celebrating 40 years of music at Poole's Lighthouse is being held on Saturday. There will be live music from tribute band The Deloreons in the Concert Hall with Steve Power from Wave 105 playing music from the 70s, 80s, 90s and today.

8. Upton Country Park is holding a wartime tea dance and singalong on Saturday afternoon between 2.30pm and 5pm. There will be a cream tea, raffle, dancing and singalong with Retro Rita. Tickets cost £10.
