A DRIVER seriously injured in a crash on the outskirts of Christchurch last week remains in a serious, but stable, condition in the neurological intensive care unit at Southampton general hospital.
The 22-year-old Christchurch man suffered severe head, neck and pelvic injuries when his sports car careered off the A35 Lyndhurst Road at Roeshot Hill shortly after 4.30am last Wednesday morning.
His passenger, a 21-year-old woman, is recovering in Poole hospital after suffering spinal injuries, abrasions and smoke inhalation when the silver Toyota MR2 convertible veered across the two eastbound lanes and plunged down a bank, hitting two trees and bursting into flames.
