A DECISION on whether to hold a referendum to approve the introduction of a new development plan for a north Dorset village is due to be made on Monday (October 29).
Pimperne Parish Council has been working on a strategy for the area since April 2014 when it was designated as a neighbourhood plan area in April 2014.
In April this year, the council’s draft development plan was completed and sent for independent examination.
Several changes have been recommended and North Dorset District Council officers have proposed that these be made.
Before being formally brought into planning policy, the proposed strategy will need to be approved through a referendum of the parish’s residents.
Members of the district council’s are being recommended to give the go-ahead for the referendum at a meeting on Monday.
