RUSSELL JAMES PICKARD, aged 40 and of Hartsbourne Drive, Bournemouth, convicted of assaulting a person by beating her in Bournemouth on July 23. Committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months. Reason: sustained attack, injury caused. Restraining order made until October 2019. Also admits commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for a period of 18 months for assault. No action taken on breach. Also admits failing without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements imposed following release from a period of imprisonment by offending. Fined £20.
