DEALERSHIP Westover Kia has announced a partnership with Ferndown Golf Club.

The firm, itself based in Ferndown, will be supplying the club's head golf professional Scott Godfrey with a Kia Sportage to help with training, tournaments and getting the local community involved in the sport.

Kia brand manager Gary Clark said: "I’m so pleased to announce our partnership with Ferndown Golf Club, we pride ourselves on supporting other local businesses and initiatives within the community. We look forward to working with the team at Ferndown Golf Club getting more people into the sport and supporting Scott.”

Ferndown Golf Club was established in 1913 and has hosted a wide range of prestigious golf tournaments including the Women’s British Open and the European Ladies’ Championship.

Situated in Golf Links Road, its greens have over the years been graced by the likes of Nick Faldo and Tony Jacklin.

Club manager Ian Walton said: “We’re thrilled to be working alongside Westover Kia and we welcome their support.
