BOURNEMOUTH’S biggest fireworks show is set to attract thousands of people once again this year.

On November 3 at the Littledown Centre, there will be three displays set to music, including the popular White Knuckle - the region’s loudest and latest fireworks show.

Event director Michael Callaghan said: “We’re expecting up to 8,000 people to join us at the Littledown for the greatest fireworks show in town.

“We’ve been planning the event all year and we know it’s going to be a great night out for all the family.”

The event will also feature an indoor Family Fun Zone, a late-night funfair, and have-a-go sports sessions.

Gates open at 5.30pm with fireworks displays at 7pm, 8pm and the White Knuckle at 9pm.

This year’s Bournemouth Fireworks event continues its 22-year association with Pains - Britain’s longest established fireworks display company. Its history dates back to 1590 and it is thought the gunpowder to be used by Guy Fawkes and his fellow plotters to blow up the Houses of Parliament in 1605 was made by John Pain, the company’s founder.
