Name: Rachel Baker

Years behind the lens: Three years, first with a Sony Bridge camera and coming up to my 2nd anniversary of using a DSLR

Current Camera: Canon 1300D

Dream camera: Canon 5D Mark IV

Piece of equipment you couldn’t be without: Tripod.

Favourite Dorset location: That's like asking me who my favourite child is. Chapman's Pool, Burton Bradstock, Corfe Castle and Durdle Door are all up there but I'm going to say my local, 'go-to' location - Lake Pier in Hamworthy. It was here I captured my first ever stunning sunset and where I caught the photography bug. It's stood me in good stead for spectacular sunsets ever since.

Dream location: New England in the USA during Autumn.

Worst photographic mishap: I have had loads! Getting lost in Wareham Forest at sunrise, losing my phone in Chettle and finding it again at 11pm by waking the neighbours, my brand new polariser falling into the River Frome at Wareham...but the funniest was the River Stour filling my wellies to the brim - so much so that I couldn't take them off so I had to drive from Sturminster Marshall to Upton with half the river still in my boots.

Best photographic success: My photos of deer at Arne being published in The Times.

Top tip: Take photos from the heart. Loving what you do really shines through photos.

What you’ve gained/learnt from or liked about Echo Camera Club Dorset: It's fantastic to be part of a community that shares the same passion for this wonderful area we are so lucky to call home.
