JAKE King’s hat-trick paved the way for Lymington Town to progress to the fourth round of the Sydenhams League Cup.
Lymington recorded a convincing 5-1 victory over Alresford Town at the Sports Ground. Charlie Willett and Mike Gosney were also on target for the hosts.
Shiv Roushbaiani’s strike proved consolation for Poppies. They were knocked out following a 2-1 defeat to Horndean at Victoria Park.
Christchurch progressed to the second round of the Russell-Cotes Cup after holding their nerve in a penalty shootout.
Priory played out a goalless draw at Bemerton Heath Harlequins before triumphing 4-3 on spot-kicks.
James Pickett scored for New Milton Town but they exited the competition after a 4-1 loss at AFC Portchester.
