BOSSES at a Bournemouth nightclub were forced to cancel a celebrity appearance on Friday night due to technical problems.
Performer Dappy, a member of group N-Dubz, had been slated to appear at Halo in Exeter Road. However, the club was unable to open due to the issues.
Ty Temel, Halo's owner and CEO, said: "We had a leak into the amp room that tripped all the electrics."
The closure was announced at 9pm - just an hour before the club was due to open - because the problems were only discovered when staff arrived for work, he said.
"They realised we had no power to the amps which had been damaged, meaning we had no music," he said.
"Naturally, we had no choice but to stay closed."
The club reopened on Saturday night. Refunds will be issued to those with tickets for Friday.
