A SEASIDE restaurant is seeking permission to operate a second bar after an extension was approved earlier this year.
The premises licence application for the Noisy Lobster at Avon Beach has been submitted by proprietor Peter Hayward.
A statement submitted by Mr Hayward says: "The Noisy Lobster, owned and run by Avon Beach Ltd, has recently had a planning application accepted for an extension to its restaurant.
"The first floor extension will contain a bar from which alcohol will be distributed. This variation is to submit the details of this bar as another point of sale within the Noisy Lobster restaurant.
"The same staff with the same training will operate the bar."
The extension to the premises was given the green light by Christchurch Borough Council's planning committee in February.
This was followed by permission to change the conditions of the extension approval to allow the first floor windows to be opened.
Scores of residents objected to the extension and change in conditions.
