A DOG walker was punched in the face during an unprovoked attack in Sherborne.

The victim was walking his dog in Lenthay Road at around 5pm on Saturday, September 29, when he was approached by a man.

The man then punched the dog walker in the face leaving him with a black eye.

He is described as a white male, aged 35 to 40, with a dark beard, covered in tattoos and was wearing shorts.

He had a brown mastiff type dog with him, and was walking with two females who are described as white, one being older than the other.

PCSO Mark Jones of Sherborne Rural said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a man who was simply walking his dog.”
