NINE men - five below the age of 30 - appeared before magistrates during one day to admit drink or drug driving offences.

The men all admitted offences at Poole Magistrates' Court.

Thomas White, of Liberty Way, Poole, admitted driving with seven micrograms of THC, the primary psychoactive ingredient in cannabis, per litre of his blood.

He was arrested behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf in Newfoundland Drive on May 25. The 29-year-old was also driving without appropriate insurance. He was fined £120 and banned from the roads for 12 months.

Josh Bill, 20 and of Millfield in Poole, admitted driving a vehicle in French Road on August 18 when he had 85 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The limit is 35mg.

Bill, who also admitted commission of a further offence during the operational period of a condition discharge for possession of a bladed article, was disqualified from driving for 20 months.

He was also fined £120.

Joel-Carlos Da Conceicao Catalo, 23 and of Puddletown Crescent, Poole, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Focus in Bournemouth Road, Poole on August 18 with 49 micrograms of alcohol in breath, as well as a linked charge of driving without appropriate insurance. He was fined £92 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Shane Ward, of Chedington Close in Poole, drove a Skoda Fabia in West Street on June 12 with more than 200 micrograms of cocaine derivative benzoylecgonine per litre of blood. The 40-year-old was fined £450 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Connor Girdler, who lives in Guildford, Surrey, admitted driving a Suzuki Swift in Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth on August 20 with 63 micrograms of alcohol in breath. The 21-year-old was fined £120 and banned from driving for 17 months.

Bradley Granger, 24 and of Priory View Road, Bournemouth, drove a Ford Focus with more than seven micrograms of THC per litre of blood on June 5. He was stopped in his street.

Granger was fined £260 and disqualified for 12 months.

Karol O'Grodowski, of Malmesbury Park Road in Bournemouth, pleaded guilty to driving in Bath Road, Bournemouth on August 18 with 90 micrograms of alcohol in breath. The 35-year-old was fined £369 and banned from driving for 23 months.

Paul Drummond, who is of no fixed abode, drove a Peugeot in Leigh Road, Southampton on June 11 with 226 micrograms of cocaine derivative benzoylecgonine per litre of blood. He also admitted driving without a licence or insurance, as well as the commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for theft. The 53-year-old was fined £100 and disqualified from driving for 18 months.

Tom Jackson, of Yerville Gardens in Hordle, Hampshire, drove a Corsa in Lyndhurst Road, Hinton on August 19 with 48 micrograms of alcohol in his breath. He also admitted failing to stop at the scene of an accident on the same day.

The 21-year-old was fined total of £425 and banned from driving for 36 months.
