POLICE are investigating a wave of crime which took place overnight last weekend in Lymington.

Quayside Gifts in Quay Street was burgled, while there had been an attempted burglary at nearby Karina's Shop.

Windows were smashed at both premises.

Officers are also investigating a burglary at a block of flats in Gosport Street and the criminal damage of a black Renault van parked in North Close. The van’s window was smashed but it was unsure whether any items had been stolen.

There was also a report of criminal damage at Lymington Community Centre in New Street, where three large windows were smashed.

Five further vehicles in various locations across the town also suffered criminal damage.

A police spokesperson said three boys aged 14, from Christchurch, Southampton and Lymington, had been arrested and released under investigation.
