BURGLARS ransacked a cafe before making off with its charity box and money from the till.

Zoe Noble opened her business Bella Bean to discover it had been broken into overnight.

The thieves took the cash float as well as a box of donations for Bournemouth Blind Society.

Zoe said: “They came in and took the float and they took my charity box and that’s about it.

“If they went out with £100, including the charity box, I’d be impressed.”

She arrived at 7.20am on Thursday (SEPT 27) to open up for breakfast when she saw the damage.

“A few local shops have been broken into in the last couple of months,” she said.

“I try to keep everything secure.

“I managed to open but I tried to avoid touching all the stuff they would have touched,” she added.

The business opened in June and had been keen to collect money for Bournemouth Blind Society.

“In the chips hops we used to run, we used to do their quiz nights. They’re local and they don’t get any funding from government,” said Zoe.

Dorset Police confirmed the burglary had happened some time after the cafe closed at 5pm on the Wednesday.

"A quantity of cash and a charity box was stolen," said a spokeswoman.

"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
