CHERRIES star Ryan Garry faces an anxious wait to discover whether he will join Russ Perrett and Warren Cummings on the long-term injury list.

The defensive trio were all second-half casualties of Cherries' 1-1 draw with League One rivals Northampton at Dean Court on Saturday.

And while both Perrett and Cummings have already received their respective diagnoses, Garry is expected to discover his fate later today.

The 23-year-old is due to see a specialist in London after suffering a suspected fracture of his right shin during a collision with Cobblers striker Andy Kirk.

Garry only returned to action in the summer after spending around four years on the sidelines recovering from multiple stress fractures to both shins.

He spent Saturday night in Poole Hospital - on the same ward as Cummings - and was discharged yesterday after having a series of X-rays.

Cherries physio Steve Hard said: "Ryan will see the surgeon who operated on him before because he knows him better than anyone.

"He will compare his old X-rays with the new ones to see if there is a new fracture. Ryan may also have a CT scan."

Hard said it was "too early to say" when Garry could be back, although he anticipates Cummings will be sidelined for around eight weeks and Perrett six.

Cummings had an operation yesterday after sustaining a double fracture when he fell awkwardly following an aerial challenge with Liam Dolman.

The 26-year-old, who broke the radius and ulna bones in his forearm, had only been on the pitch for nine minutes after coming on as a 49th-minute substitute for Perrett.

Hard said: "When I went to treat him, it looked like he had two elbows because the bones were snapped and his arm was bent.

"The doctor spoke to the surgeon, and, if everything goes well, it will be a case of no contact for four weeks before he returns to training and hopefully plays in eight."

Perrett hobbled off after suffering a suspected torn hamstring on his right leg and is due to have the condition confirmed when he has an ultrasound scan later today.

Hard said: "The way it presented after the game was quite bad and it wasn't your normal hamstring strain. I've dealt with 75 to 80 hamstring injuries since I've been in football and only seen two full tears. I think that was the third one.

"If it is torn, I would expect Russ to be out for up to six weeks, but we'll know more in the next couple of days."
