One man was taken to hospital after a crash between a lorry and a car on Tuesday morning.

Police and ambulance were called to a crash on the A3049 Canford Way.

Officers were called at 7.23am this morning to reports of a collision between the HGV and Vauxhall Nova.

Bournemouth Echo:

The car ended up on its side.

Part of the road was closed between Mannings Heath roundabout and Alderney roundabout.

The driver of the Nova was taken to Poole Hospital as a precaution.

The accident took place on the Bournemouth-bound side and the road was open by 8.55am.

Bournemouth Echo:

PR executive James Tourgout, who was driving to work, said: “I didn’t see what happened but the accident involved a lorry and a car which appeared to be on its side.

"The road seems to be closed and you could see the queues building up almost immediately. I think it’ll take a while to get back to normal."

There are long delays around Wallisdown, Canford Heath and Ringwood Road due to vehicles diverting.
