VISITOR figures at the Red House Museum in Christchurch showed strong growth according to official reports.
The heritage centre in Quay Road saw a 41 per cent increase in the number of admissions from April to June this year when compared to 2017.
Almost 6,000 visitors came to the museum over the three month period, compared to 4,887 last year.
Figures for June were particularly impressive with 2,728 visitors against 1,937.
Laura Bullivant was appointed as the new community manager of the museum in April.
A report to the Red House Museum joint management committee said April to June served as a "settling in period" for Ms Bullivant.
