One of the world’s most famous steam locomotives made a flying visit to the Conwy county on Saturday.
The Flying Scotsman travelled from Crew to Holyhead on the weekend making stops at stations along the way including Llandudno Junction and Colwyn Bay.
Once at Holyhead, it remained there for three hours before making the return trip.
Conwy county residents lined platforms and tried to find the best vantage point possible to catch a glimpse of the historic steam engine.
The world famous train came out of the Doncaster Works in 1923.
In 1934 it was recorded travelling at 100 miles per hour, making it one of the first locomotives to reach speeds that high.
Designed by Sir Nigel Gresley, the steam engine went out of service in the 1960s, but was later restored by North Wales business man Alan Pegler.
The Flying Scotsman was due to make a trip through the area two weeks running but withdrew from the original trip, set for Saturday, September 15 between Holyhead from Bury, because of railway works.
