THE Sandbanks Ferry is set to be back in service at midday today after being out of action for the past week.
The ferry was withdrawn from service on September 12 after suffering a main hydraulic drive motor failure.
At around 11.15am this morning the ferry company posted on Twitter that service would resume today.
Yesterday engines were being trialled with the company saying it hoped to have the ferry back in service by the end of this week.
The ferry will undergo a full refit from Monday, October 29, which could last for four to six weeks.
