A SERIAL motoring offender caught driving after taking cocaine in May was arrested after being found behind the wheel again in August.

Allan Cunningham, of Burton Road in Christchurch, had more than 32 micrograms of cocaine and 200 micrograms of its derivative benzoylecgonine per litre of blood when he was stopped in Castle Lane West, Bournemouth on May 23.

On August 18, the 35-year-old was stopped again as he drove in Bournemouth. On the second occasion, he failed to provide a specimen of blood for testing.

However, he was found to be in possession of heroin.

On September 10, Cunningham appeared before magistrates in Poole to admit two counts of drug driving, one of failing to provide a specimen, one of possession of a class A drug and one of commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge order.

The three-year order was made on November 3 2016 for convictions of assaulting a PC, two counts of driving without an appropriate licence, two of driving without appropriate insurance and three of failing bail.

Magistrates made the defendant the subject of a community order, under which he must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and comply with a rehabilitation activity requirement for 30 days.

He was also disqualified from driving for three years and ordered to pay a surcharge and costs.
