A CARER who subjected a 78-year-old dementia sufferer to degrading and threatening treatment in her own home has been dismissed from her job with a care company.
Susan Hind was working for MyLife Living Assistance Christchurch when her treatment of vulnerable Martha Davison came to light.
She has since been handed a 24-week suspended prison sentence after admitting three charges of ill treatment of wilful neglect of an individual.
Hind, 69, of Trinidad Crescent, Poole, was captured on CCTV hurling abuse at Mrs Davison,
A spokesman for MyLife told the Daily Echo: "This is a serious and deeply upsetting case. Our priority is the welfare of our vulnerable customers, so as soon as the allegations were raised we immediately suspended Susan Hind, carried out an investigation and notified the authorities. She was subsequently dismissed."
