A WOMAN who hid her rucksack underneath a towel when she went swimming in the sea off Bournemouth returned to find it had been stolen.
Police have released CCTV images of three people they wish to speak to in connection with the incident, which happened at around 4.35pm on Sunday, August 5.
The victim, who is in her 30s, had concealed the bag beneath a towel and clothes before going swimming close to the pier.
When she returned a short time later, the black rucksack was missing. It contained her mobile phone, keys and wallet.
Her bank card was used to carry out transactions totalling £70.05 at Tesco stores in the Square and the Triangle in Bournemouth.
Police investigating the theft have now released CCTV images of a man who is suspected to have used the card at Tesco in the Square, as well as two women suspected of using it at the store in the Triangle.
Police Community Support Investigator Jared Sharman, of Bournemouth police, urged anyone who recognises the people in the photographs to contact the force via dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting 55180125311.
